It’s Thanksgiving time here in the US. This is a time to practice gratitude, and ideally a time to get creative with loved ones.
Here are a few gratitude-themed Messier Moments for the week:
Gratitude mapping: Create a visual map or collage of items, people, and experiences for which you are grateful, using images and words to represent these elements.
Culinary gratitude: When you’re cooking for Thanksgiving (or another gathering if you’re not in the US), cook something that expresses the idea of gratitude. Better yet, ask everyone to do the same for a potluck.
Competitive gratitude: At your Thanksgiving get-together, gather some people around the table with some paper, pencils and basic art supplies like crayons. Ask people to express gratitude in a drawing, poem or piece of writing. Set a timer for 5 minutes, create, and then take turns showing what you made.
We’re always eager to hear how it’s going! Don’t be shy, let us know at hello@messier.co.
The essence of all beautiful art, all great art, is gratitude.
