This Week's Messier Moments: January 8
Despite what Larry David says, we'll still wish you Happy New Year! Twelve times!
Happy New Year! Larry David says the statute of limitations to say that is three days, but we are savoring the calendar change, with its focus on possibilities and potential. With the year(s) ahead in mind, a few “twelves” for your week:
The year ahead: Draw 12 circles on a page, and write the names of the months above each. Fill each one with an image or vignette to represent each month.
Twelve lines: Write a twelve line (or twelve word) poem representing how the year could evolve. Do it a few (or twelve?) times if you have time.
Twelve years: Cartoon or write what a day in a life twelve years from now (yes, that will be 2036) might look like. It could be your life, a kid’s life, or someone’s across the world.
We have now discovered that “twelve” objectively is a funny word when you write it over and over. Twelve twelve twelve twelve twelve twelve twelve twelve twelve twelve twelve twelve!
We’re always eager to hear how it’s going! Don’t be shy, let us know at hello@messier.co.
In the meantime, let me be that I am, and seek not to alter me.
