This week we get to enjoy one of the best days of the year: Winter Solstice, a.k.a. December 21. Even if you have no woo-woo to speak of, it’s still a great day because it’s when days start to get longer, when hope is repaid day-by-day with more light, where we can scent the first whiff of summer, even in the cold and rain. So for this week, a few activities inspired by the coming solstice.
Winter Poem: Write an eight-line poem, starting with the word “winter”, ending with the word “summer”, and using the word “light” somewhere in-between.
Tengo Ombré: Draw or paint something inspired by transition of color — it could be your own homage to Rothko, a rainbow, or circles filled with different colors.
Escape from Winter: Write a list of the most anti-winter vacations you could take next week. Australian Outback in December, anyone?
We’re always eager to hear how it’s going! Don’t be shy, let us know at hello@messier.co.
P.S. We need your help to build the Messier app! We’re doing our first-ever fundraise right now. Please check out last week’s investor presentation (passcode is 1r*8M$wl), and share with anyone who might be interested in investing.
What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.
